Horrible is understatement of the year. They changed a decent show into horror)

XD I know.
I used to like it. As can be seen by my e-mail ID.
But then they aired the 4th season on Cartoon Network and it became total crap.

Filled with anger, Shea shouted, “You don’t have the right to know." Wanting to change the subject and stop the pain, he continued, "Anyways, I’m pretty much useless now. My harmonic flow is temporarily shut down and I can’t fly either. That’s the consequences of casting ‘Finale’.”

She frowned, reminded of her friends. Shea frowned too, feeling a tinge of remorse for causing this girl pain. Finally, getting hold of her feelings, she said, “Ah, right. What has happened!?”

To the point, Shea replied, “Well. that ship is already ruined. My power wasn’t strong enough, so I think I haven’t killed them all. Your friends might still be alive.”

Shea privately doubted that they were but he wasn't going to tell her this. However, he wondered if she'd kill him and decided to ask, "Now then, why don’t you kill me now when you have the chance?"

Her reply stunned him as she said, "If I kill you now, then I’ll be the same as you. Back then, I thought you weren’t that bad. You did that to get the approval of someone you admire.”

His first thought was, "She is the demon Lord's daughter, right? She is Thanos's niece, right? Or is this some counterfeit?"

As these thoughts were floating through Shea's mind, she continued, "I would do the same, if my father were like Thanos. So, why don’t we find my friends? You decide what to do next. You’ll be dead without any power here.”

Shea seriously doubted that he wanted to find her friends. They were hardly going to spare him. In anticipation of this Shea said, "Just let me die already"

Valen smiled a sweet smile that enchanted Shea. He thought this was the most beautiful smile he'd ever seen. She then said, “Stop being stubborn now and come with me. I’ll show you what this world is all about.”

He decided to air his doubts out in the most polite way possible and said, "Fine, fine. But I think your friends might want to say the opposite.”

"Might would be understatement of the century," thought Shea.

Suddenly, she gave him a look that he had seen Oswald and Thanos both give to many others and told him, "“Just …come on!”

Reluctantly, Shea agreed.

Chapter:
They had been walking for about 10 minutes when Shea felt extremely tired. He thought, "It must be the after-effect of casting Finale. But I can't just be the one to ask her to stop first. She's the weak one." Thus, they kept on walking. Five minutes later, Shea couldn't stand it anymore and finally decided to be the one to ask her to stop and said, "I'm dead tired. Let's stop."

He wondered what she'd do. There was no way she'd let go of this perfect opportunity to tease him. She was kind but then again, she was Oswald's daughter and there was no way she'd let this chance go by.

She frowned. What was she thinking? Then she replied, "I thought you wanted to die so badly."

His suspicions were correct. She was Daddy's girl, after all. He was angry and replied, "Can you please shut up? I'm like a fish outta water here."

She replied in an icy cool voice, "Whatever, Mr.I-am-useless."

This infuriated Shea further and he could only mouth, "Cut it out."

Before he could go on further, he heard a familiar voice from behind saying, "So, I suppose you guys are getting along."

It was Cain.

Valen smiled a smile even wider than the one he'd seen on her earlier. She must really love Cain, then. Finally, she opened her mouth and said, "Cain! So you're alive!"

Saying this, she ran toward Cain and hugged him while Shea stuck his tongue out, expressing his amusement.

Noticing this, Cain said, "He saved you or you saved him?"

This embarrassed Shea leaving him speechless. With a calm look, he said, "Figures!"

Completely ignoring him now, Valen asked, "So where are the others?"

Likewise, Cain replied, "I believe we can find them if we go further on."

Shea was exasperated that no one was even paying any attention to him or his opinion. Her indifference hurt him for a reason he could not understand. And this made him madder. He hoped that her friends were dead.

Shea decided to break up this reunion and make them notice him by bringing up a thorny subject. He said, "You've found her, eh? She's your drug now, isn't it? Geez, I'm jealous of you."

Valen looked on, curious. Cain had that mature look at his face and said, "What are you trying to say?"

Shea replied, "I'm just trying to imply that both of you are so lucky." Seeing Valen's curious face, he added to clear up, "You and Oswald. Share your happiness with us next time."

Cain replied, "Whenever I look at you, it's like I'm looking at myself when I was younger."

"He didn't even have to endure the pain," thought Shea, "that I did in my past life. How can he compare himself to me."

He replied thoughtfully, "Bleargh! You're nothing like me. You freakin' handmade!"

It pleased Shea to see that he had struck a nerve as Cain replied, "You!"

After an awkward silence, Shea decided not to exasperate him further and said, "Just go and find your friends already, kay? I'll do nothing harmful as long as I'm weak."

They consulted and decided to walk on. Shea followed behind them reluctantly

As they were walking out in front, Shea overheard Cain apologising to Valen. He was interested and moved in closer. He heard Cain say, “—for trying to attack you. I was conscious about what happened but my body moved by itself.”

Valen flashed her smile and said, “It’s fine. Don’t worry! But how could you turn back?”

Cain replied, “Because it wasn’t my time. I’ve been training my self to do temporary evolution but doing so--- Valen, that thing called a Hellraiser. Do you still want to be with me if I will turn into that? I could barely control myself and I will destroy everything in my way if this continues. There’s no turning back now”

Valen thought for a second and then replied with a gaunt look, “Remember your promise? Do you want to break it now?”

Shea wondered what promise this was but Cain said, “I don’t but—“

He realized what they were probably taking about and said, “Give it up, you guys. You either kill him or get yourself killed. Face the truth, guys. Don’t be greedy”

Cain was shocked that he had overheard them and started, “What are you—“

Shea continued, “When I was still a human. I once live in the war and grew up in the war. I’ve seen so many people die, including a father who sacrificed his life for his son or both of them would die.”

Seeing them interested, Shea continued, “You gotta choose what’s best for yourself when it comes to that. One will die, the other will live or both will die if you don’t do anything. That’s just how it is.”

Seeing them dumfounded, Shea said, “Let’s just go. Don’t want to waste our time here, do we?


Cain decided to not heed Shea and commented, “Your memories are quite clear for a newborn.”

Shea replied, “I guess because that happened right before I died.”

I like that pairing and I also like your story so please continue, it's getting interesting

It was night now. They had been walking for a long time. Up ahead, they could see two shadows that looked familiar. Therefore, Valen and Cain decided to go there. Shea couldn’t care less at this point. He was bored and meeting their friends was the last thing he wanted to. He seriously doubted they had any cordial feelings for him, anyways.

It turned out that the shadows were Nazim and Cyrus. Nazim smiled as he recognised them and said, “I’m so relieved to see you”

Cyrus noticed Nazim and said, “Oh look, it’s Cain and Big Sis and…” Then his gaze stopped on Shea.

Angry, he continued, “Hey! It’s that assassin. Why you bastard!”

Suddenly, they took up battle positions.

Even in a weakened state, Shea was amused. Did they really think they could defeat him? He had felt his magic start to return and started mumbling a spell.

Valen stopped them by saying, “H-Hey. He’s harmless now. He can’t cast spells or even fight.”

The rage on Cyrus’s face was obvious as he said, “So let’s kill him while we still have the chance!”

Nazim looked on and added, “I agree. We have to get rid of him immediately”

Suddenly, Cain jumped in between and said, “Now just hold on a moment. Let’s let him tag along for a while, then decide what to do”

Shea realised that even Cain had not agreed to not kill him but only to let him tag along. He was deeply suspicious of them all now.

The purple haired boy interjected, “But what if he kill us in our sleep?”

That boy was making him madder. To see him get even madder, Shea added, “Good idea! I’ve never thought of it before.”

With a warning look, Valen said, “Shea!”

Smirking, Shea said, “What?”

Thanks a lot, you guys. I really, really appreciate it. So here's a huge chapter which I think is three chapters long

Chapter:
The Novandel took the joke seriously and said, "See, he can't be trusted. Your kindness will make us perish, Miss Valen."

Shea decided to calm him down and replied, "I've told her to kill me but she wouldn't listen. So I'm stuck in the desert with you guys. Anyways, now you'll just have to bear with me."

Valen looked concerned and decided to change the subject, "Okay, okay. Enough of that. So where's your mother, Cyrus?"

Cyrus frowned and said, "I don't know, Volg's body is gone too. And... And... I wanted to make a proper burial for him."

He walked away, looking as if he was about to burst into tears. (WITH SAD SAD EVERYWHERE)

"Great," though Valen, "why did I even bother."
Nazim smugly said, "And I know who caused this."

Shea walked back as if he has just been slapped on the face. He wondered, "Was I that bad? Why do I cause others so much distress. Nice and kind people too."

Valen once again changed the subject and said, "I think we should rest here tonight. We shouldn't go too far from the shore. Maybe our friends are still around here somewhere"
Cyrus walked back and asked with his worry apparent, "I'm worried about Faye. Can she survive the impact?"
The Novandel looked smug and said, "Humph, I'm sure she'll be all right. If that guy over there.."

Finally, Cain interjected and said, "Stop it Nazim"
Nazim said, "Pfft"

Shea looked up with shame, he had caused Valen so many problems.

Just as he though that, she looked at him with those eyes and said, "What's the matter."

Still hurt from the others words, he said, "It's nothing. I should sleep over there. It's far enough from you guys. See you tomorrow then."

Shea watched as they made a fire using Cain's abilities.
"For people who hated demons so much," he thought, "they sure didn't mind taking help from them."
As they stood near the fire, Shea decided to stay far away. As he gazed at them and Valen in particular, he noticed her looking at Cain. Suddenly, Cain came with some fish and gave them to her

After some talking, they approached him. He was caught by the smile on Valen's face, so innocent, yet so charming. He thought, "No, there must be no flirting with the enemy."

To compensate for this mistake, he started with hostility, "What is it now?"
Cain said, "You must be hungry. Grab one of these."
"They were being nice," he thought, "despite what I'd done. They should be killing me but they're giving me food."
Feeling ashamed yet proud, Shea said, "I don't want it."
Valen frowned and said, "Hey! Hey! At least, show some thanks for his effort."

"So she loves him that much," he thought.

Annoyed with this development, he said, "Hmphh.. Like I need it anyway. Besides, why should I?"
Cain came up with an unexpected reply, "Demons can still die because of starvation."

Skeptical, Shea said, "Never heard that one."

Cain said, "Heh, I'll just leave it here, okay."

He decided to ask him what had been bugging him. Why were they so nice? So he said, "Why are you so nice to me? I mean.... I tried to kill you guys"

He had intended for Valen to reply but it was Cain who did with the words, "Because I feel some connection between us." (OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, watch out Valen, Cain looks like he's cheating on you)

Shea looked a bit shocked and said, "What do you mean by that? I barely know you."

Understanding his distress, Cain added, "Not that kind of connection. I mean, we both fight because we're in pain, right? We're willing to sacrifice ourselves for those whom we care about. We both are still confused about our real purpose in life. But if, in the end, if you still choose your own twisted path, I'm not letting you live."

Shea couldn't understand this. He said, "You are weird. Everything in this world leads to destruction. Peace is not eternal, no, nothing is eternal but Death. Then why do you seek the impossible?"

Cain looked at peace and said, "I know that one day I will die. But if I cannot accomplish anything in this mortal and temporary life, why should I exist in the first place?

He wanted this demon to understand how they were different and said, "I also want to make him happy." (Okay, does this sound pretty creepy?)

Cain replied patiently, "But in a wrong way. Don't you know the path he has chosen is wrong?"

Shea looked distressed. He was worried whether what the demon was saying was right and said, "I completely understand that but... but that's what I chose too"

He quickly fired back, "And are you happy with that."

Shea got mad at what he perceived as an attempt to change him and said, "I.. I have no one, we're not the same. Don't try to force your way on me."

He replied thoughtfully, "I'm not forcing my way on you. It's just that your life is still long. I just want you to know that eventually, someone will need you."

Remembering Sera, Shea said, "No, you have no idea what kind of life I've been through. Just because someone loves you now doesn't mean she'll still love you tomorrow. Leave me alone"

Once again, Cain came up with a reply quickly and said, "Your former master's life was more miserable than that. It's because noone has ever loved you. You always look at others as tools or something that can fulfill your needs"

How'd he know all this? This was his personal life and the guy seemed to know all about him

Shea replied, "S-Shut up, you know nothing about me."
Cain said, "I'll prove my words."
Surprised, Shea could only voice, "Huh."

Cain said, "You're so going down."

Realising what Cain meant, Shea said with a smirk, "Interesting, then let's make a bet. If you win, then I'll stay out of your way. If you lose, then I'll make sure no one can reach my Master's realm"

Cain replied, "All right, no going back"

He voiced, "A man should keep his word"

Suddenly, Valen turned to them and said, "Umm.. guys? I'm feeling so left out right here."

A bit exasperated by this interruption, Shea said, "Awwww does Daddy's girl need a hug? C'mon Nanny's gonna give you a biiig niiice hug"

Both Cain and Valen replied at once. Cain said, "Hah, that brings back memories."

Valen, on the other hand was not so pleased and said, "W-What are you guys doing? You stupid little scoundrel."

Shea thought, "Teasing her was fun. Maybe I should do it more."

He then added, "Or do you need milk. Nanny's going to give ya hot milk, fresh from the camels!"

Valen turned exceedingly angry and said, "YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!"

Shea turned to Cain and said, "Hahahah. How was that?"

Cain smirked and said, "Not bad."

Valen turned to Cain with a menacing look and said, "Hey! You're supposed to be on my side."

Cain smiled again and said, "Sorry, I just can't help it..."

Shea, feeling left out said, "Spoiled rich girl! I'm going to love you till I die, Nyahahah"

"Words so true," he immediately thought.

Watching her grab at him, he ran. She screamed, "Arghhh! come back youuuu!"

He said, "Catch me if you can."

She screamed, "YOU BRAT!"

She ran after him but soon got tired. The Novandel and the Half looked at him with distrust. Soon, they returned to the fire after which they didn't seem to mind him. Shea decided to sleep near the fire along with them as they didn't seem to mind

You guys really do ship the weirdest pairings... I followed Kirro's suggestion to remove the part when shea likes valen, because it shows that he likes her where the truth is that he only admires her guts for getting together with a demon.
